Our History

Elyxir Distributing is majority owned and managed by brothers, Skip and Glenn Ely. After college they both started their career in the Silicon Valley hi-tech industry; Skip in engineering and Glenn in sales and marketing. In 1989 after a number of years together in a high tech startup now public and quite large they acquired Filice Distributing, a small company in Santa Cruz.

Over the next nine years, Elyxir acquired six other beverage distribution businesses resulting in today's company…one of only two major beverage distributors covering the three county area. Skip, the CEO, focuses on the Delivery, Warehouse and Information Systems areas while Glenn, the President, concentrates on Marketing, Sales and Administration functions. The brothers work closely together particularly on customer and supplier relations and they share all important decisions

Our People

Elyxir has a strong management team. Dave Webb V.P. of Operations has been with Elyxir since 1996 and came to us from the Coca-Cola Bottling Company. Tami Corum the CFO joined us in 2006 bringing 12 years of senior level accounting and finance experience including 4 years served as a CFO. Greg Scott V.P. and General Sales Manager joined the company in 2003 with 16 years prior experience in our industry. There are many other outstanding managers assuring that the company fulfills it's mission. We are proud of our employee group many who have been with us since our early days or came to us from the predecessor companies.
